- Who can benefit from this program:
- Albertans who are in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) Benefits
- Employment Insurance (EI) Reachback Clients
- Albertans who are in receipt of Alberta Works Income Support
Program Start Dates
Note: applications are accepted beginning 10 weeks prior to course start dates shown below:

- February 11, 2019
Program Outline
- Employment Preparation/Essential Skills (2 Weeks)
- Computer Basics (1 Week)
- NAIT Occupational Skills Training (10 Weeks)
- Trade Math, Blueprint Reading, & Drafting
- Hand Tools, Portable and Stationary Machines
- Safety Certification
- Construction Shop Projects
- Trade Math, Blueprint Reading, & Drafting
- Job Search Techniques (1 Week)
- Work Experience (2 Weeks)
- Job Placement and Retention (1 Week, with 3 month and 6 month Follow-up)

Duration: 15 Weeks of in-class training and 2 Weeks of unpaid
* English skills - CBL level 5 or higher.
